To most of us, our home is our heaven. No matter where we go and what we do, at the end of the day, we all prefer to be home and there is nothing better than sipping a cup of coffee laying back on the couch. To make our house beautiful from inside, we put wall hangings, chandeliers, paintings on the wall and much more. There is another way to make your house look fabulous.
Rugs are a great way to add variety and personality to any room without having to lay a permanent carpet. If you haven’t tried one, here’s the time. However, only environmentally friendly rugs will do. Resource intensive products such as nylon or other petroleum by-products must be avoided. Since rugs are laid on the floor, the risk of germs spreading due to its usage is usually high. A natural fiber area rug can be your best bet. In fact, I have two of them in my house. Natural fiber area rugs are environmentally friendly and the chemicals used to treat them for stain resistant are of less concentrate.
My personal favorite is a 5X8 Olutanga natural fiber area rug is hand-woven and is made of 100% abaca fiber. The size is perfect for my study room where I usually prefer not to carry the footwear. This rug is a perfect example for the integration of quality natural plant fibers. The color is brown and adds warmth to the room made for pure peace of mind.
Like most organic products, the rise in organic rugs is apparent. My colleague bought an organic area rug for her bedroom and seems quite happy with it. Of course, she has cane furniture tailor-made for her room. Most organic area rugs are made of organic colors and materials and usually come in earthy colors. They give a fresh look to any room and are lightweight to move. Naturally durable aloe, jute and hemp are hand woven by local artists.
If you are someone who concentrates on keeping the floor tidy then its time you don’t leave it naked. Cover it with some world-class and environmentally friendly rugs and let you feet feel the difference.
